Brett Sprague (David Wenham) returns home after a stint in jail, intent on restoring order to his family. This incendiary classic of Australian film stars Toni Collette, Lynette Curran and Anthony Hayes, and features a soundtrack by The Necks.

The Boys won a suite of Australian Film Institute awards, and director Rowan Woods (who also directed The Kettering Incident, which premiered at Dark Mofo 2015) was nominated for the Golden Bear at the Berlin International Film Festival 1998.

The Sunday 11 June screening features an introduction and Q&A by filmmaker Rowan Woods, facilitated by James Hewison and Nick Batzias, curators of Dark Mofo Films.
